I loved that! I reminds me of the grid the NY Times Weekend magazine (...uh, I think that is where I've seen it??) prints.

That's funny. And I disagree on so many of those! That person sure loves grapes! :) nt

I couldn't believe that oranges didn't rate more highly on the tastiness scale. Damn, I really want an orange now.

My critic bone disagrees with a lot of this.... but I agree... F%$# Coconuts!!! (and since I'm allergic to them and they send me to the hospital... F%$# em )
Bananas are much more tasty than plain blueberries and
Bananas are SO VERY EASY to eat. Heck, they even come with their own container for transport and hold for eating. Blueberries you have to have some sort of container (which tou have to wash later).
And peaches are easier than bananas to eat? They are wet and drippy and then you have a very wet slimy stone/seed to dispose of afterword. Also, bananas are good from the near-ripe to the over-ripe stage. Peaches are only good at the "just ripe" stage.
Oranges so low on the tasty? Oh contraire. A mandarin or navel orange are GREAT! and easy to peel (though admittedly, the peel is hard to hold on to after peeling).
I'd put pineapples WAY up on the tasty scale. A ripe pineapple is the food of the GODS.
Grapes? Bland, watery. Need to go down on the scale.
And where are mangos and papayas?
And if you add nutrition to the scale (if you could) bananas and pineapples and oranges would skyrocket past grapes, pears and peaches.
now if we added nutrition to this

I disagree on the tastiness scale of bananas and blueberries - a good blueberry is beyond reproach.
However, I strongly agree with you on the ease of use factor. Any fruit that does not have to be washed before eating trumps any fruit that does. So bananas, which not only do not need to be washed, but can be peeled by a 4 year old with a minimum of mess, is off the chart in terms of ease of use.
But it's high in calories compared to berries, so be careful of that nutrition thing.
I need to go and do something productive now, before I start pondering fruited 3-D scatterplots and how I'd display that using Flash....

Ok....you know how people say "I just threw up a little in my mouth"? Well....I almost actually did...from visualizing an-anything-but-green-on-the-ends banana going in my mouth. :yuck:

Bananas are nearly the most nutritious fruit per calorie :)... payapa ranks 1 of those fruits eaten often, apples rank last. I'll have to find the link :)

I LOVE unripe bananas and over ripe bananas and bananas just at the peak..
but perhaps this is my recessive genetic trait that makes it so I don't taste some bitter compounds like those found in unripe fruit, peppers and broccoli.
I'm a non-taster and can eat just about anything :/

Bananas are SO VERY EASY to eat. ... Heck, they even come with their own container for transport and hold for eating. You know, I hadn't thought of that but you're right. And if you're me, you can't eat an apple without slicing and coring it first, so that puts bananas WAY to the right of apples!
