How does it determine who goes on the map? I've donated money and it doesn't show up.

I'm not sure about the map, but reporting rules (federal law requiring reports) are that if it's over 100, name and address etc must be reported.
Also, the donations reported are only up till the end of December.
If you gave under 100, or under 100 up to Dec. 31. You won't show up.
That said, if I search my name in the database, it shows up (kind of creepy), but it's not on the map that I can tell... but I did find that our neighbor across the street donated to Clinton :/ :D

Wow, this is kind of fascinating AND creepy at the same time! Like, do we really get to know that Tandy Cronyn (daughter of the late Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy) gave $564 to Barack Obama? And please tell me the address that's there is not really her home but is maybe her agent's office?
Of course Kelsey Grammar gave money to a Republican.
But why does it show they gave money in such consistent amounts? Really, that many people just happened to decide to donate $4600 or $3400?
Oh dear--in my zip code, "$30,766 to Republicans, $12,716 to Democrats" :ohno:

The maximum a private citizen is allowed to give to a single candidate is $4600, of which a maximum of $2300 can be used in the primary. The 3,400 number is a little odd - I assume that people are being hit up for some combination of primary/general election funds there. Ir it might be some other limit that I'm blanking on right now.
