Lily's nose has become very sensitive to artificial scents and she hates the Aussie shampoo we've been using the past few years. Is there something out there that you guys use that is either unscented or scented with EOs that is decent? I could just walk into the health store, but I think I'd rather order online. California Baby seemed like it was more expensive than I wanted the last time I looked too.

C uses CA Baby (and it is expensive, but it's good stuff). I use Avalon Organics Lemon Shampoo or a shampoo bar that a friend of mine in Portland makes:

Nature's Gate makes a nice rainwater/awaphui one with a gentle scent. http://www.smallflower.com/natures-gate/rainwater-awapuhi-shampoo-18-oz-shampoo.html

EO has some nice ones too, but the scents might be a little stronger than she likes.

Oh thanks, I had missed the replies. I did just check and saw that California Baby makes an unscented one now. I'm going to try the Nature's Gate first, but if it bothers her we'll switch to the CB, in spite of the cost.
I need to get her into an allergist. :-/

I'm sure it's a personal preference, but we didn't like the Nature's Gate Rainwater here. I found that hair didn't feel clean enough when using it.

ack, I just ordered it. I have very short hair so I don't think it would bother me, but Lily's hair is thick and long enough that it's hard to get fully rinsed. That was my fear with choosing a shampoo bar, that's why I didn't go with that, but it may be a matter of trial and error before we find one that works for her. The rest of us will continue using our cheap stuff (Tony likes it).

Oh, I'm sorry to have posted after you already ordered it! I was hoping to catch you in time. Like I said though, I'm sure that lots of other ppl do like it but we only bought it the one time bce it just didn't work for us.
You guys might love it!

Yes, it's the unscented that C uses. (Though we also use the conditioner and for now that's the scented version. Neither bother him, nor does the Avalon Organics I use on my hair.)

I love the unscented california baby shampoo! But we usually use Druide or a shampoo bar made by a local soapmaker http://www.earthelementals.ca/soap.htm because I can find them easily. The Druide is lightly scented - natural, with essential oils. The shampoo bar smells lightly of peppermint eo, but it isn't at all overwelming and once its rinsed out all you smell is clean hair.
We don't use soap of any kind very often and kind of do a poo one week, no poo for a few weeks thing.
I'm really sensitive to scents and dh works in a no scents school and the druide and shampoo bar both pass our tests :-)
