I have the Kwik Sew for Children book and was just thinking of selling it off the other day.
You know a lot of the styles are kind of oversized 80's looks, right? I've used it for pajama pants but the patterns in the book are wide at the hip and tapered at the ankle so I straightened them out before using them. Oh yeah, I used the t-shirt pattern to make D's pirate shirt for Halloween last year, too.
Anyway if you want it, you can have my copy for, say, $12. Just let me know :).

I was thinking about this last night and I have another boys' sweatshirt suggestion, if that's what you're looking for:

I've made a couple of these for my boys and I'm going to make more this fall.
The pattern is in Ottobre Design issue 4/2006 which you can buy from Ottobredesign.com or Sewzannesfabrics.com. :)

Thanks! I forgot about this thread until just now LOL. I actually found my old copy of the Kwik Sew book, and am hard at work.... I did have to make some adjustments, but I just love those easy patterns that can be whipped up in 30 mins!
Off to check out the pattern you just posted.
