Where do I find how to switch between threaded and linear?

Not lame!! In the right hand corner, next to "search this thread" and "rate thread" there is a drop down box entitled "Display Mode" - you can alter at will :loveit:

In one of the brown bars there's a tab that said Display modes with a little arrow pointing down. They're in there. I had to ask last night :razzberry:

You might want to try Hybrid, though.
From what I can tell if you choose Threaded then you need to click on each post individually to read it.

I like it out in the forum view myself, because sometimes it's nice to hot-swap between the views!

Yes, that's true. The single advantage is that the Quick Reply box is enabled, because there is no question about to which member you are replying.

You can also do it in the UserCP-
open that up and choose edit options. Scroll down a little bit and there's a box that says thread display options. Pick the thread display mode that you want and then hit save changes at the bottom of the page. That will change it for all forums and posts.

The quick reply box is enabled in Hybrid too, though.
