Isn't there a show that does the World's Dumbest Thieves, or something like that?
So I mentioned in another thread that on Sunday our $40,000 company truck was stolen. Super bummer. This morning, it was back in the parking lot, ignition had been popped off. They had also washed and armor-all'ed the truck, it's never looked better. LOL Obviously they did this to wipe off any prints, right?
Well, that doesn't really help if you are an IDIOT.
The brainiac that stole the truck left a piece of paper inside it. It's a sales receipt from a recycling plant for copper. They made $430.10 off of copper they sold to the plant. Copper theft, by the way, is HUGE problem right now, on construction sites in particular. So they probably used the truck to steal the copper and then haul it to the recycling plant.
The receipt ALSO has their name, address, and driver's license number on it. D'oh!
So, grand theft auto AND copper theft. Me thinks someone is going to jail. :rofl:
