Is anyone in search of a environmentally friendly CHEAP toilet bowl cleaner?
I was at a cocktail party and the topic turned to cleaning toilets here in town (yeah I hang with an oh so hip crowd, we're all uber green though) what with the incredibly hard water and all and I was told the SECRET.
glycerine and citric acid. A year's supply costs about 2.00.
You drop a tsp of citric acid in the toilet leave it 20 minutes and then scrub with the brush - the hard water deposits come right off in big flakes!
But what about hard water and rust stains above the water line? You mix a tsp of citric acid with a tsp of glycerine together and paint on and 5 minutes later you have a clean toilet!
Had to share, I checked the ingredients of the expensive green brands of toilet bowl cleaner - same incredients plus colour and a bit of scent!
