So I am not so good with transitions (it take me a while to establish routines, LOL and I have mild sensory issues, hmmmm) and as soon as the girls got out of school , I've been struggling. I went form working when they were in school, to going in in the evenings, I have a later wake up time...blah blah blah, the net affect is I haven't been going to the gym 5 days a week, feeling guilty, so it causes me to lose motivation, eat very poorly and have been lucky to get in 2 days. So I decided I will only go in 3 days a week for the summer. I am not even going to set the alarm Tues and Thursdays (the day after I work.) If it put me in a holding pattern for the summer, its still better than going back the other way.
I also wanted to share my success today though. I wanted to try interval training. I also wanted to see if I can run a 5K at 6 MPH (30ish minutes) AND I did! :yay: Now I had to break it up into 10 minutes sections. But I got a REALLY REALLY great workout today. I did
1 minute warm up, so 11 minutes for 1.1 miles,
did 15 minutes of upper body machines,
took about 30 seconds to get up to 6MPH, and did 10:30 for 1 mile.
did 10 minutes of upper body,
took another 30 seconds to get up to 6MPH, and did 10:30 for 1 mile.
That last 10 minutes was TOUGH. I kept saying one more minute, one more minute...Luckily for me "Murder of One" is a really long song, and I said to myself just concentrate on the song and see where you are at the end, So I made it. :yay:
It was a great workout, I am freakin' tired but happy.
