1 C. dry brown lentils
2 stalks celery, diced
2 carrots, peeled and diced
1 C. diced onion
1/2 t. dried basil
1/2 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. dried thyme
1 bay leaf
28 oz. chicken broth
1 can Italian style tomatoes (14.5 oz.)
Combine in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours or high 5-6 hours.
