where do I make my requests?

Is there a thread for requests? Or should I wait? I have a couple things I'd like to ask for but want to do it in the right place.

Go ahead and ask here. If it's something small, one of us can usually do it soon. If it's something that needs to be talked over and/or researched, we can add it to the thread that Kari started for us.

Ok. What I'm interested in is the little checkmark that indicates which threads I have posted in.

Also, another site I visit that uses vB has little icons at the top right of each post, and people can set it so these icons link to their flickr account and blog. I think it's cool and am interested in that here. If it's not too much work.

eta the second thing here is located (on that other site) with the same info that is underneath the avatars here.

I'll look into the flickr, etc. links. It shouldn't be a massive hack.

We do have an indicator icon already to show you where you've posted, unless I'm misunderstanding what you're asking for.

Below is a screenshot from my own view. The icons to the left of the thread titles indicate with a white arrow that I posted there - no arrow, no post.
