:yay:
His first no hitter was last season and he threw his 2nd no hitter today. Pretty big deal for a pitcher :-)

He plays with two fall baseball teams and that leaves no time for anything else. He then played basketball for his school team last winter, which I assume he will play this year as well. Indoor workouts for spring baseball start just as basketball is ending. He outgrew all of his hockey gear and we took it to Play It Again Sports for a store credit.

That even if he were drafted by the Pirates, he would play there. {You know that we in Cincinnati do not like anything Pittsburgh}. It was funny because Evan really sounded as if he were confessing to something horrible, "Dad, I have to tell you that even if I were drafted by the Pirates, I think I would have to give it a shot. Anyway, it would just be with their minor league system and chances are good I would be traded before ever playing a major league game."

I think he's wise. LOL. It'll be important for him to remember that all the MLB teams are really just big companies. There's no loyalty anymore to the fans or the players, so a wise player will have no loyalty to a franchise, but, instead, will think like a businessman.

That's how you know he's really serious! My Boy is still saying he wouldn't play for the Yankees. :-P (And I'd be sad if Evan played for the Pirates, too -- I grew up an Oriole's fan....)
Way to go on the no-hitter(s)!! And he's playing with the 11-12s, right? That's pretty amazing!
I've been thinking about you (and Rosemary and Renee) a lot this month -- I've been whining (to everyone but the Boy) about the Little League practice and tournament schedule, and reminding myself that many, many Mammas spend faaaar more time driving their kids around to practices and games and such. Thanks for being a good example for me to follow!
