51/3 cups water
1 cup sugar
Dissolve the sugar in the water by stirring over medium heat in a saucepan
When it boils remove from heat and add:
1 1/3 cups fresh lemon juice - 6 lemons
3 tsp rosewater
Chill and serve over crushed ice
Oh my goodness this was the most amazing treat for me this past week! I think my kids might have the most popular lemonade stand in town with this!

It is the water left over from when they make rose essential oil, you buy it in the grocery store...if you don't see it in the ethnic food aisles of your regular grocery store, try checking in the middle eastern or asian neighbourhood of your town or city. It is a staple ingredient in Iranian and Malaysian cooking.
If you can't find it in the grocery store a pharmacy may well carry it.

I love rosewater in lemonade. When i worked at a bakery we always made strawberry lemonade sweetened with agave for the farmer's market, adding rosewater made it so much better.

Used to be you could always find it at a drugstore. If you have an old mom and pop type of drugstore or grocery store you might find it there.
