Good idea to break it out like this, Sue. :-)

I did my first set on Tuesday, will do the second today and the third on Saturday for week one. Then I'll go to M/W/F for the next week.

I could feel it all day yesterday--in a good way. I think it will take me a lot longer than six weeks to get to 100, but I'm looking to make progress, not to be perfect.

ETA: Day 2 done. Off to the treadmill. :-)

but I'm thinking I may have started at too high a level because I am DYING. I did 12, 12, 10, 10 and 15 - but the final 5 on that 15 were definitely a few of inches higher than when that first set of 10. And day 3 starts out with 15 - my mind boggles.

Finished the first week!

For this last day, I did 15, 13, 10, 10, 20! I don't know if I feel any stronger, but I must be because I couldn't have done 20 when I started on Monday!

I finished Day 1. I'm going to have to alternate with my karate days, because we do pushups in karate too.

OK, I finished week one. And I do feel stronger already--amazing, because it doesn't seem like I'm doing that many. I can really feel it, though!

I did day one today. I just did the test on Saturday or Sunday and my arms were still sore so I ended up doing them on my knees, which I didn't want to do, but I couldn't do ANYTHING in the normal position, sheesh!

Does anyone else feel like it's affecting her posture, in a very good way? I feel like my shoulders are wanting to stay back, which is weird because usually I feel very round-shouldered.

Yes, I've noticed that, too with my shoulders.

Not so much my posture, but my abs are really working! That's where I feel the strain the most.

I did day one yesterday. I have to do the girly regimen, which annoys me no end. (I could barely do 2 regular push-ups.) My arms felt like wet noodles when I finished.

Today I can feel really feel it in my pecs. Which is good, because I wouldn't mind a little more volume there. ;-) I can also feel it on the inside of my right elbow, above the joint. Which is not so good, given that I have a history of problems with that elbow. Oh well.

I finished week one yesterday but I think rather than going on to week two, I'm going to go to the regular pushups and do them right, starting over with week one. I think I can, I think I can, IthinkIcan...

And I meant to add that my plan is to go through the first six weeks doing girlie pushups, then start over and see if I can do full pushups. We'll see how that goes. First I need to make it through the next four weeks.
