i hhope some of you fine women can help me brainstorm cause I'm stuck. I'm trying to come up with some suggestios of games a family can play together. It's a mom, a 9 yo boy and a just turned 3 yo boy. the three year old doesn't have alot of lanuage yet. I thought of charades, and I guess they can make that very simple so the three year oldcan participate. Bingo migt work, picture bingo or even regular bingo becaus the young boy seems to recognize letters. Any suggestions?
TIA

Uno was what Q could play earliest, at least the earliest game that didn't annoy the crap out of me, lol. Then we moved onto trouble, sorry, slap jack (although the older person has to slow down a bit ;-) ). Stuff that has simple color/number combinations.

dominoes
any kind of matching game
battle (war) with regular playing cards

Can the 3yo hold cards? If not a cardholder would help with that. C still has a hard time holding more than a few cards, so we have quite a selection of them. We like the ones that stand up on their own best.

We have some similar to this (not ordered from amazon) and really have liked htem a lot:

My mom has some like these--you can either set them on the table or hold them in your hand:

Gamewright makes fun card games--we like a lot of them. You might look here for some ideas that would work for your youngest:

This is only a 2 player game but C has loved it since he was about 4 or 5:

And they now have a kids version of it:

That's all I can think of for now.
