or around that age?
C was at the dr the other day and her height is a couple cm short of 5'1". I'm only 5'5" so she is rapidly catching up to me. Dh's family is tall (his dad is 6'5") and my family is too (I'm the shorty in my family). I wonder how tall she will be when she stops growing?
Anyway, just curious how she compares to others her age.
Edited to add a picture. She's got long legs. She is outgrowing (height) her size 14 jeans! I don't even know what the next size is!

TALL ....LMAO!
Jordan is...let me measure the mark on the wall we made yesterday...51 inches tall. She's also only like 50lbs so she's just tiny and she's always been this way - well ever since she fell off that growth chart as a baby LOL...
Her friend is here, she's the same age as Jordan and she is 58 inches tall. (we measured her, too) So...
yeah my kids are short. LOL
I am 5'8ish and Dave is 6', and the only SHORT one in our immediate family is Dave's mom, who is 5'2....so who knows....

About 4'9"/4'10" I think.
I'm 5'2" -- I'm sure she'll catch up this year.
About 4'4" (and weighs 56lbs). 6th shortest in her class 43 students. I'm 5'5" but her dad is 6'. She takes after my mom who is only 5'2".

Miya is 57.5 inches tall and seems to be taller than all her friends, boys and girls.
If I remember with Madison, when she grew out of her size 14's we went to women's 1's or 3's or something like that.
Here's a picture of her from May:

C was about 4'4" at 10. He's not going to be big guy, but when you start out at 1 lb 5oz and 12" long you've got a long way to go to catch up. We're still hoping for some catch up growth in puberty as his bone age has always tested 1-2 years behind and preemies do tend to have some catch up growth in puberty. But he'll be fine whatever--it's so funny that he doesn't even notice that his younger friends are bigger than he is. That's a good sign to me that he won't really care how tall he gets.
I'm 5' 6.5" and his dad is 5' 11.5". I think I was not quite as tall as your C is when I was her age, so I'm guessing she'll be taller than I am.

Cassie was at 60" (152 cm :-)) back in March, so I'm sure she's a bit taller than that now. That puts her just a bit above the 97th percentile.

F is 58 inches (measured him at the boardwalk this weekend). He's around 80 pounds
I'm honestly not sure, it's been forever since she's been measured but she wears a size 10. When she stands next to her classmates she's pretty average height (which makes her my "Tall" kid, lol, because Anabel is a peanut and Patrick was always one of if not the smallest in his class) DH is 5'7, I'm 5'5- we're not expecting any amazons here unless we get a throwback ;)
I'm of the mind 5'5 is the perfect female height. :D Seriously!! For all my self doubts in every other area of appearance, height is the one place I have felt fashionably correct. I secretly hope my girls get to be 5'5, and I secretly hope my son grows a few inches taller than his dad.

I . . . have no idea. I'm embarrassed to say, I can't remember, either! Amelia was definitely not that tall, because at nearly twice C's age, she's only an inch taller LOL! But Tori has always been very tall for her age, and I suspect she was definitely pushing five feet around 10. She's taller at 16, than both her older sister and her mom . . . and catching up to her dad (although I doubt she'll grow much more.) Jon is not really tall and obviously I am not either . . . but we each have very tall siblings, and Tori really resembles the body type of Jon's leggy, athletic sisters. Amelia exactly has the body type of his very short, CPA middle sister LOL! I am clearly just a vessel for the Stehn DNA lol! (Well, they got my face, everyone does remark on that.)

My 9-year-old is almost 4' 7" and my 11-year-old is just over 4' 8" -- so that would average to 10 years and 4' 7.5", right?
I expect they'll both be reasonably average as adults.

In terms of "how she compares", just find her age & height and you can get a pretty good idea.

It would seem at age 10 and if she's 5'1''- my guess is she's the tallest or one of the tallest kids in her class. :) :)

Hey Jamie - I found a pic of Amelia at age 10 and 3 months - I took this in Kodiak when we were still in the motel, waiting for housing (that's how I know how precisely aged she was LOL.)
http://www.blondbrain.com/share/Amelia_lavallee.jpg
You can tell from the perspective of the picture that I am looking down at her somewhat, and she is looking up at me. If I am 63-ish inches, I suppose she was about . . . 6 or 7 inches shorter? That matches the chart jerzeymama posted too, she was usually in the 30-50% range for height.
OT - commentary on the photo:
She had been really quiet for awhile and then popped up to show me what she'd been doing, and could I guess what she was supposed to be? (In case it's hard to tell in the picture, one half of her face is darker than the other.) In an "Only an Alaskan Kid" moment (and maybe hints of "future art student" too LOL!!) . . . she decided to turn herself into a Barbara Lavallee (http://www.artshopgallery.com/Lavallee%20coffee_klatch.jpg) image!

She said that in her class (last year) there was one girl who was taller than her by about an inch. Her class is 4-6th grade, so that means she is taller than all the 5th and 6th grade girls (she was in 4th last year).
All the boys are shorter than her!
I looked at the chart and it looks like she would be about 100% for her height? She's at about 95% for her weight, so at least she is proportionate!

The Turnagain Arm Trail, just past Potter's Marsh. We went hiking out there last weekend. :loveit:
Hey, dh is wanting to do an "Adventure" this summer and we are trying to figure out where we want to go. Dh would like to go somewhere in the Interior, for a few days, maybe canoeing? Any ideas? We're also thinking about doing a ferry trip.

Hey! I just met Barabara Lavallee!! :) She did drawings on both my girls arms (a mermaid on Anabels which Anabel was cracking up over because she had boobies; and polar bears on Baylee) and did a drawing and a signing in a hardcover copy of "Mama, Do You Love ME" for me to gift to my friend here who is expecting her first baby. I was so excited to me to see her- she was doing a signing at B&N in Anch, funnily enough it is YOUR mother who introduced her work to me! :) When I had Anabel she sent me a very sweet gift package that included a copy of that same book, and a tree ornament of Lavallee's illustrated people.

J. is 10 and is about 58 inches (4'10"). He is one of the tallest boys in his grade. I think there was only one other boy in his class who was taller than him, and his dad is something like 6'7".
I'm 5'2", and DH is 6'0". I come from very tall people though. My mom is 5'10", my aunt is 6'1" and my grandfathers were 6'6" and 6'4" (I take after my 4'11, round, big boobed italian grandma).

I got to meet her once in Sitka at a signing, when I was visiting my mom. It's possible she is Lavallee's biggest stalker fan. That's so neat she sent that for Anabel! She loves to give art as baby gifts.

He is STRONG like an ox. He has good mennonite blood running through his veins! It is interesting to watch him right now, as he is gaining weight, but looking MUCH more thin. He is training 6 times, 5 days a week in swimclub (1.5hrs at a time) and then swimming most weekends at swim meets. This kid has built some serious muscle and endurance.
I have no idea how to compare him in terms of other 10yos though.
hmmm...i tried to add a picture, and can't seem to do so. Oh well.
