Would anyone mind if I edited the software so that marking a forum read (from the little drop down box, NOT the Mark All Forums Read link . . .) so that using it takes you back to the main list of all forums? That was the functionality of Mark This Forum in DC Forums, and I find it more useful. I don't get why it doesn't work that way here - after all, if I mark a forum read, I don't want to keep looking at it :p. I want to go to the front so I can pick another forum, and I want it to do that for me, without extra clicks, LOL.
If there is anything other than consent, I'll open it up as a proper poll related to changes.
I would love it if you did this, Mandi, and I've seen a few others mention wanting this feature, too.

Wow, I didn't know we had a "mark this forum read" option - I've been using the "Mark all forums" button at the bottom.
I don't know if anyone has asked about this, but is there a way to change the font to NOT BOLD for the forum titles after it's been marked read, and then it switches to bold once there's a new post in the forum? Or some other easy way to know by glancing at the main forum page which forums have new posts?

I would love this. I have been missing that feature.

The icon in front of the forum name changes color if it has new posts. Is that not showing up for your layout? It looks like this on my screen:

Thank you for pointing that out - I hadn't noticed it before.

Oh, I missed this until just now. I would also love this. So, YES for me, too. (When you get the chance, of course, Mandi.) :)

I didn't know either and I'd been marking all forums, which I really didn't want to do because by the time I've looked at them, I'm probably marking new threads I haven't seen.

You can also double click that icon to mark the forum read. This is how I've been marking forums.

You can also double click the icon (that Mandi illustrated) to mark individual forums.
