has anyone read this book? A friend of mine read it and is praising it to the stars and back.

Just wondering about any feedback.

Thisngs are pretty good with my kids but, you know... they are getting older and I would just like to keep the line connected.

Merci!

Thanks Rach. The Dr's are from here, Vancouver and actually the co-writer, Gabor Mate, was my partner int he Landmark Forum program I attended 6 years ago. He is a pretty complicated guy so I was wondering about his writing... lol

I re-read it recently and loved it even more this time around. Definitely recommend it. The ideas in this book run contrary to just about EVERY notion of what constitutes a "normal" childhood in American/Western society.... which is why I like it so much! :-D

The first part is a discussion of numerous research studies and why we should hold on to our kids, but it is NOT a difficult read. It's very eye-opening, actually. The second part is the "how" of holding on to our kids.
