Since there was a whole bunch of us posting that we needed a kick in the pants to get back on track with our diet/exercise routines, I thought we could post everyday with what we did to help ourselves. What do you think? Anyone else want to join?

I got up early and went for a run. I also put the finishing touches on my meal plan for the week and I am about to head out and go food shopping. Planning our menus is the biggest factor in my success I have found so I feel so good when it's done. Tonight will be a bit of a challenge since I am cooking a yummy Thai meal that's not "free" (Core) so I will need to choose wisely how I fill my plate.
I have also been doing the Couch to 5K program and I am sort of stuck. On week 5, the first day you do 3 5 minute runs with a 3 minute walk in between each one and that was doable, the second day is 2 8 minute runs with a 5 minute walk in the middle and the third day (what I was supposed to do today) is a 20 minute run. It feels like such a big jump in time and I am thinking that it's really all in my head. I need to just do it right?? Today instead of doing the 20 minute run, I did day 2 over again and I am sort of disappointed with myself. I need a pep talk I guess, or maybe it's OK to back off a bit? I dunno.

Great idea, Niri!!
I had a banana, a glass of skim milk, and a slice of lean ham for breakfast (along with my standard coffee and sugar free hazelnut creamer)
Then, I took Mike to work and went to the Y. I did 30 mins on the treadmill and 20 on the eliptical, and then did my ab routine and my lower body routine.
We just got home, and I'm eating 1/2 a cucumber with super duper garlicky hummus as a snack, along with some crystal light pink lemonade :yum:

Great idea! I was on mostly on track yesterday. I did have a piece of ice cream cake, but other than that, it wasn't too bad foodwise. I didn't log my food but I think I stayed within my calorie range. And I exercised!!! Finally. Also the night before all my insomnia finally caught up with me and I slept a full 10 hours, and then last night I slept 9 hours, so I'm finally feeling less foggy.

I'm mostly on track today.
Although, I did eat some movie popcorn this afternoon. LOL! I plan to factor in into my day though and get exercise.
I'm heading to BodyPump in a few hours and then a bike ride with the kids if it's not raining.
Edited to say that I now have two extra kids here, one of them until 7:30 or later (one that's a tad high maintenance  ) so I'll try to do some weights and cardio in the basement.
I agreed to do the minding of the kids so I don't think that I should make Marc take over the second he walks in the door even if he would never ever say that he minded. LOL
Wish me luck...I stink at working out at home!

I knew that I wouldn't workout at home so I went to the gym from 8-9pm instead. :-)

You night workout people amaze me. I can't get to sleep for hours and hours if I exercise much after, say, 5pm. It totally screws me to do that. (And not in a good way .) OTOH, I can't do it as soon as I bounce out of bed, either - depsite being a morning person, I have to hydrate first and let my body start working. (This is euphemism for, let my tummy do it's thing before I get active.) That sounds like a flimsy excuse, but I get in big trouble if I don't do those things first.
So then I'm stuck getting sweaty in the middle of the morning, or early afternoon. It fits me best, but really breaks up my productive streak. That complaint aside, I am actually doing it - go me.

I have a harder time working out in the morning or at night as well. But I'm also willing to take what I can get, sometimes. :-)
I am best in the afternoon or mid-morning as well. For everything. Even all things  LOL!

I was on track yesterday, pretty much. I did record my calories and found that I was less virtuous than I thought I'd been - the leftovers I had which I thought were so healthy were surprisingly high in calories. And I exercised.
But I didn't sleep well at all last night, which really bums me out. I'm setting the alarm to make myself get off the computer in 25 minutes so that I don't end up being a lump behind a terminal all day long.
