I spent last week helping my mom, who has hoarding issues, get her house clean so that she could get around on crutches for knee surgery. I know I drank way too much caffeine and didn't take very good care of myself.
Wednesday I took Lewis back to the dentist a week after he had had a cleaning because of what was an obvious abscess on his gum. Shit... yep, abscessed tooth that the dentist had put a crown on last year. It has to be extracted and a spacer put in. :( FIRST antibiotic EVER that any of my kids has been on.
My mom had her surgery, it was successful, she's able to bear weight on that leg which is great. I shopped with the kids for magazines and flowers for Grandma, go over and cook food, clean up a bit more and make sure everything is going o.k.
I promise my nephew that he can spend the night Saturday night and I would take him back home when I go to his sister's birthday party on Sunday.
Sunday morning, 3am I wake up to use the bathroom and know before I'm in there that I have a UTI. Within an hour I am nauseous and have chills. At 5am I wake Tony and tell him I think I'm going to need to go to the ER. I haven't been to the ER since, oh gosh, I was a preteen and had a broken collar bone.
I start throwing up he bundles me up, calls my dad who comes and sleeps in the chair in my living room while the kids sleep.
Pee in cup, pass go, collect antibiotics, darvocet and phenergen.
Sleep until 11am, watch movie til 1:30, bathe at the last minute and go to niece's party at 2pm with a migrane. Drink coffee that I'm not supposed to have and start feeling human again.
I just want to know WTF is wrong with my urinary system that this happens to me. The ER was really surprised that it had such a sudden onset. And very impressed with the color of my pee after taking AZOs, which btw, THANK you for that rec, Mandi and Peggyann, I don't know what I would have done without them.
I'm finally scheduling Lily's Autism Evaluation this week and at this point am very confident that she will be given a diagnosis somewhere on the spectrum (based on conversations with multiple professionals about Lily). Lewis will have his tooth taken out on the 14th and I'm really freaked about that because of how things went last time he was sedated. Also Tony is being offered a job today/tomorrow. He has gone through the preliminary interviews, now is in the salary talk/negotiations. He doesn't know yet if he's taking that position, but chances are good... He will definitely be leaving the hospital where he works. It's a big red flag when both of your bosses tell you to RUN as fast as you can from your workplace and that they're jealous you have something lined up already.
SO, this is just a general request that you keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. Life is crazy, I've been meaning to post here and there and just couldn't find the time or energy to do so.
