Karys' eyes aren't getting any better.
Even after being on a high dose of zithromax since friday.
She woke up SCREAMING in terror this morning, because she couldn't open her eyes. They were glued shut. :( They are still leaking that nasty thick yellow pus-y goup. Her fever is gone, and her lymph nodes aren't as swollen, but this eye thing is giving me the wiggins.
Hopefully, this has an easy fix, like a special eyedrop or something.

Was the zithromax oral or eye drops? (I forget what everything is called.) If she has pink eye, the eye drops they will give you will probably clear it up very quickly.

It's oral. She has systemic strep, and that is what is giving her the nasty goopy red eyes.
And now, I'm also compulsivley cleaning my house, because I don't want them to get this again.

Is this the first time they've had it?

Yes. The ruling today was Karys has pinkeye and strep (so she got eyedrops)
Aidan has SEVERLY infected ears. Thick goopy pus, the Dr. said the strep moved up his eust. tubes. So he got another week of abx, and he has to go back next week. This is the first ear infection Aidan has ever had.

By the time Karys gets to kindergarden.... they will both have had the bugs- and her immune system will be kicking rear end.
(this is what I tell myself every time Chelsea comes down with something.. you know, like 3 days after she recovers from the prior bug)
