In vB you have a poll voting option to make users visible. Meaning it shows who voted for what option. This can be good or bad with regards to community decision polls.
What I like about it:
Every voice is truly heard with a name behind itWhat I don't like about it:
It removes voting anonymityWould you guys like to utilize this poll option for community decision polls?
WARNING: This poll has the "visibility" option turned on.
I prefer my vote to remain known only to me unless I choose to share it.

Would it be possible to vote while logged in as ST?
Just brain storming here. I think that if people feel strongly enough about their votes they will post either in favor of their choice or against another choice. I guess I just don't see the real need for this option.

I think it depends on whether or not it is set to allow you to change your votes until the poll closes. Which means each time a st votes I think the vote would change and not be added to, right?

That's good to know, thanks for your input.

ST can vote. But I doubt ST can vote more than once. We can test that if it looks like we need to.

I think you are correct, I think it would override.

Yeah I am not too sure about the names being shown. I think a lot of people liked the ability to vote and not have anyone question them on their vote. Or at least pass judgment. yk?
My suggestion would be to not have names in there....and to let us choose more than one color. (lol)

Nope, only one color for YOU! (Said in my best Soup Nazi voice)
The reason I even brought it up is A) It's a new feature most probably don't know is available, and B) It *is* a way to have individual voices/opinions heard better.
But I can also see inherent issues with that.
But I do like having options, I am Option Girl. :loveit:

I agree with this. Actually at the other site I go to if the poll is public I usually don't vote. The polls are usually stupid but I just don't like the idea. Kind of like the voting I do politically is private. And if I choose to discuss it I will voice it, but ITYKWIM.

Park me here. If people want their name attached to a poll vote, they can post below and add content. I'm not comfortable with having names attached this way at all.

I would not like the polls to be public.

I agree. I'd rather vote where no one else knows how I voted.

but if it was something else, I probably wouldn't vote. And who is to say that just because *I* think it is silly, doesn't mean that it is super important and powerful poll to someone else.

I figured that's how y'all would feel, and TBH I agree. I just wanted to make sure you knew what was available to you.
Hmmm, I think I'm going to have to play with the new poll option and movies. Or the Oscars. Ooooooh I love options! I am Option Girl! :p
