First off, we are home most days until evening. I don't even like to run errands with the kids so I send dh, do them after putting L to bed (for his 30 min. nap lol), or do them on weekends. Occasionally we all go somewhere like to homeschool group on tuesday afternoons. 4 of us there have tiny babies so I am not sure what next year will look like for our group but I hate to have my kids miss these groups. One time a month I take them to Hickory for science class and then we do evening things a couple of times a week. Yesterday was an evening activity and an afternoon activity so it was compounded. An average morning starts with him waking up between 7 and 8. He usually lays in the bed next to me and plays/babbles for a little while (while I pretend I can sleep for a few more minutes.) and then we get up and I let him sit in the highchair or playpen while I get breakfast for the rest of us. If the kids are available they play with him on my bed or the floor. As long as he is happy, I get random things done. He always needs to nurse around 9am and usually falls asleep or goes to bed within an hour of this nursing. If things are rowdy or we are getting ready to leave for church (on Sundays), he will stay awake until we get to church and someone (usually my mil) starts walking with him. Since that is my busiest morning, it would stand to reason that this day would be the hardest for me but it isn't. Ok, during the morning nap, if he manages to sleep past 40 minutes, he will sleep a max of 1 hour and 15 min. Typically he is awake after 35 min. If the train goes by it could be worse. (and there is no schedule, I've tried to predict it)
After this nap, we go about the day and he will nurse again between 11 and 12 and then his second nap is typically around 1. If he will go back to sleep in the afternoon around 4 or 5 it is wonderful but it doesn't always work.
There is a look at my schedule. I will try to add more tomorrow. Thanks for listening and all the great advice!!!
