It's frustrating to me too! We need to spend more money on find ways to CONSERVE!! Not USE UP different resources. But I supposed using less resources is not profitable and no one want that, eh?

I think it's horrifying. But pretty much what I expected. We can pay for our future energy with blood, sweat, or tears. Blood in wars for the last remaining drops of oil, sweat of our own bodies transporting ourselves (and conserving in many other ways), or tears as we chop down the last of our planets "lungs" in the rainforest and people starve while we grow "biofuels" to feed the SUVS of the folks still driving them. No matter how much the politicians (and sadly, even Al Gore) promise this new era of cheap clean energy, it really comes down to one word (that no one wants to say): CONSERVE. Conserve, dammit.
