I'm putting this here because it could turn in to a debate.
I am appalled and disgusted that the parents would think this was even remotely ok.
I see little girls dancing like this around here. The dance team for the jr high and high schools here are *worse* than this video. Their costumes are very similar to what these little girls are wearing.

Amazingly talented girls!
Awful outfits and some of the moves were inappropriate IMO.

I would not be ok with that AT ALL if I were one of those moms. I'm trying to decided if I'd feel differently if they were 16, and I think I would. 7yo girls don't need to be doing stripper moves IMO.

Inappropriate. Madison and I saw that video today and she even mentioned that she couldn't imagine ever allowing a child that age to do some of those moves. I'm just not a big fan of little girls acting "sexy".

Agreed. SUPER TALENTED, but I would never, never let my child wear those clothes. Dance moves are unique but not for girls at that age.

Wow, I really don't get it. Those girls are so talented, so why oh why the - as someone else said, and I agree - the stripper moves? Is that the only kind of moves that exist in choreography these days?

I can't decide what bothers me more: the fact that they're doing stripper moves or the fact that the outfits are styled to look like lingerie. Tacky lingerie. On prepubescent girls. Ick.

Okay, so I'm amazed those girls could pull off that routine so well. Those dance moves are hard! But...they're not made for little girls. I guess I could almost see having this super-talented group of girls and wanting to show off how good they are by doing something difficult and current and "buzz-worthy". But they could have toned it WAY down by putting other clothes on them (even in the Beyonce video, the dancers are just wearing black leotards) and cutting the "sexier" moves while still leaving some of the impressive stuff. Just...not well thought out at all.

Yikes! Way innapropriate. Talented? Yes, but sheesh, there are so many other ways they could showcase their talent. Around here "most" hip hop type classes you have to be 14. Although there is one very expensive dance studio where the girls do a similar kind of sexy prancing, and wear very revealing (though not quite as tacky) costumes. I wouldn't allow A to do that.

This was horrible to watch- the dancing was amanzing but it broke my heart all the same. I know you have to have talent to be able to dance like that to begin with. The practice these little girls go through is astounding. When to they play? The moves they were doing were not the moves small children should be executing. The whole time I watched it I kept thinking, "this is what pedephiles look for on YouTube." Especially with the outfits. Ewww.
The distorted images of childhood and adulthood and what's appropriate they're going to grow up with is so sad.
DD's school PE program did a Hip Hop thing with a guest Hip Hop teacher, complete with a performance for everyone at the end. But the moves were fun and completely appropriate. More '80s style rap/pop breakdancing stuff. This (video) was creepy.

OMG Those girls are way too young to know what messages they are sending. I would freak out if that was my kid in that group. I'm getting so creeped out thinking about the pedophiles who are getting off on that. GAck. That combination is just WRONG. :( Is too bad they had to overshadow their obvious talent with sex.

Yeah, me too. And it's interesting that a different color/style of outfit that covers the same amount of skin would be pretty okay by me as a swimsuit for a child that age (though I'm conservative enough to just allow tankinis, because I don't want to have the conversation about why it starts to be not okay by me at some point as they get older!) but the color/styling is just not. It looks too much like something like this http://www.fredericks.com/Satin_amp%3B_Mesh_Two-Piece_Set/45001,default,pd.html?cgid=li19
WOW, I was not prepared for that level of skill or that degree of completely inappropriate content! Frankly, it doesn't even belong on the net I think it's not far from child porn- you KNOW there are creeps out there getting off on it.
I agree and until the end, I was thinking thy seemed to be holding back a bit on the booty shaking, and if it weren't for the costumes, it might not seem that bad...until the end, BLECH!

Yuck. YUCKYUCKYUCK. Outfits are appalling and extremely inappropriate and the dancing is WAY too sexual (though they are extremely talented). Then again, I can't stand to see bikinis on little girls, it really disturbs me.

Very, very inappropriate. I pretty much agree with everyone else. A ton of talent covered up by an amazing amount of sexuality.
I wouldn't let my 12 y.o. dance like that now, much less when she was 7 y.o.
I would say that none of my friends who are moms would be okay with that, and some of them are WAY more liberal than myself about things like clothes/makeup/etc.
I just don't really get it. There are other ways be showcase talent in edgier, modern ways - why does it have to be sexy?

OMG! :-( Horribly inappropriate. nt
DITTO! OMG.
I am not sure what is more shocking, really - the IMMENSE talent they so obviously possess, or the fact that there were not only instructors/coaches who were ok with this, but PARENTS, too! Holy shit. NOT OK! And I am *fine* with showing skin when it's not done in a sexual way (for example, to me, a bikini on a preteen is not pornographic, but the person looking at her lewdly is a perv IMO) this crosses every single line there is IMO...and I do know a mom with a dd who is learning to dance just like that - only at least they wear hip hop clothing and not Frederick's latest fuck-me-wear. Sorry but that is just soooo wrong!

Ugh - I watched it with the sound off which I think is even worse. It's so hard edged and aggressive - they look like jaded 21 year olds, not young girls. :-(
I can't help but compare it to the "Talk to the Moose" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a7C64j8d34U) ad by Gap last Christmas - fully clothed girls doing a cute dance routine vs. these scantily clad girls doing moves way beyond their maturity level.

The video has been pulled. I'm not sure if I'm relieved or annoyed that I didn't get to see for myself what you guys have been talking about. I think I'm going to go with "relieved," though. Sheesh.

It's extremely easy to save a You Tube video (or any flash video) - all you need is some free capture software.

Call me crazy, but the video didn't make me as emotionally charged as the rest of you. Of course, being on satellite, I saw it in, like, 3-4 second increments. About 3-4 seconds would download, the video would pause, anohter 3-4, pause, rinse, repeat. I was able to see the very end of it and that was mildly disturbing, but I think I just expect that of the US, being so removed from the culture.
