Bethany just got Harvest Moon Cute for her DS, and has been having lots of fun. She had made a lot of progress, buying animals and getting a shed, growing a garden, etc. This morning she showed my SIL a little bit of it, and turned it off for several hours while we did homeschool. She just turned it back on, and her saved game is completely gone. She was so sad! She just went ahead and started a new game, so I am not sure even if there was a way to find her saved game again if she could, but does anyone know what could have happened? That was so strange, and I'd hate for that to happen to her again. :(

Oh no, how disappointing! :( Unfortunately I don't think there is anything she can do. If it does it again, take it back to the store and see if they will give you another copy. Poor Bethany!

I think with the DS you have the option of completely erasing games. Could someone else been playing around with it and did it by accident? I can imagine how disappointed she must have been. (((Bethany)))

She was so upset! I let her play a lot last night to catch her back up to where she was. :)

It was so strange! She played a bit in the morning, turned it off, turned it on briefly to show my SIL, turned it off, then it was gone when she turned it on later! I'm sure no one else played with it, and she was pretty sure she didn't erase it...but, you never know! Maybe she did on accident, but I know nothing about playing this game or saving so I don't know how easy it would have been. Oh well! I really hope it doesn't happen again! I'm sure she's being extra careful now when she turns it off!

If she is *positive* that she is saving her game before turning it off, then I think you have a defective game. Poor kid! :(
