My name is PQ and I am a USAA addict. USAA, it's awesome!! We have car insurance, renters insurance, a credit card, a checking account, 2 savings accounts, a new officer commissioning loan, and 3 college funds through them! We have also used them for car loans and a mortgage in the past. Two thumbs up here!

We have the computer rider and had a zero deductible replacement on a dropped laptop... unfortunately DH was told last yr while we would still have that policy because we are grandfathered in, they were doing away with it on new accounts because they were just losing too much $$$. Still call and ask though, the agent may have been mistaken or it may have changed again.

Yup, we have it because my dad was military and is a USAA member. (You can inherit membership even if you're not military. My kids are members too.)

Yup.. DH's step-granddad was a USAA member until he died, so DH's dad & step-mom were members through his account (DH's dad was military too, though just not active) and now we are members and our children after us. :yay:

My dad was military and served in vietnam, but so far mom & dad can't sign up with them because they are not active military. It doesn't seem fair that my dad, who served in a war - combat even - cannot have the "military" insurance, yet I can. :(
