I haven't made this, a friend emailed it to me:

12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (chips, chunks or bar)
24 large marshmallows
2/3 cup stout
1/3 evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon cream de cacao
1 graham cracker pie crust

Place chocolate chips and marshmallows in blender jar or food processor (try to) process to coarse meal.

In two separate containers, heat stout and evaporated milk until very hot, but not boiling.

Slowly pour hot stout over marshmallows and chocolate in food processor

Add vanilla and creme de' cacao

Blend until smooth.

Pour into ready-made graham cracker pie crust.

Chill for 4 to 6 hours or overnight.

That's an interesting flavor combination - I think I might see if I can find a silk pie recipe that doesn't use marshmallows and put some stout in it (marshmallows give me the heebie jeebies unless they are peeps, toasted over the fire, or floating in hot chocolate :p)

What do you do with the evaporated milk that you heated separately from the stout?

And have you tried this yet?

Slowly pour hot stout (and evaporated milk) over marshmallows and chocolate in food processor
