I went to pick her up this morning for a Dr's appt. so she could get the results from her MRI yesterday.
I knocked on the door, I called, nothing
I knocked REALLY LOUDLY with my foot,
and I heard **BOOM BOOM BOOM WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! !"
She had been asleep in her recliner, when she heard me knock loudly, she stood up,,,and fell headfirst into the opposing wall.
The Dr. said they aren't letting her out of the hospital until they know why she keeps falling.
((The mri from yesterday was clear))
OH and on the way home,,
Karys PUKED mightily all over the backseat of my new car :barf:
Shoot me, just fucking shoot me

Peggyann, you have a lot of responsibility for caretaking and ferrying others around. I cannot imagine the stress, strain, and amount of burnout that you must feel sometimes.
Is it possible for your parents to hire some additional help to take some of the stress off of you? Between driving you mom a lot and driving Mike a lot and adding her need for caregiving even someone to make some meals or be responsible for her a day here and there might help.
I say this with the utmost respect and concern for you -- you've got a lot on your plate!

Oh sweetheart. I'm so sorry. I was wondering the last time and I was going to say something but then stopped. When my Tutu was sick and stuff she would have moments that were a bit weird. She was supposed to walk with a walker but of course had to be stubborn and refuse for what felt like forever. After she died though, my mom and aunts and nurses and stuff, they were talking and they came to the conclusion that she was having mini strokes. They were so small and barely noticable, except for the fact that it was like she had rebooted. It took her a little longer to get going and get things working the way they should after what they figured had to have been a stroke. It was just small enough though, for no one to put it together until after.
Anyways, I'm hoping perhaps it's just an ear or balance thing that they can help her with quickly.
Hope Karys feels better soon. ((((((Peggyann))))) You sure could use a vacation.

Thanks everyone
they did a CT scan today
and they are going to do some weird injecty die thingy and take pictures of her head tomorrow.
Blah. My house is a wreck, I gave up and ordered a pizza.
I think I'm going to see if one of my friends wants to score some extra $ by coming over and helping me clean.
I need a drink.

Have they looked at her heart?
I clean for an older woman, and she kept falling and nobody could figure out why for a while. finally they checked her heart, gave her a pacemaker an she hasn't fallen since.
My friend's father kept falling out of his chair, and he ended up with a pacemaker too.

oh yeah, the first time that she fell, one of the first things they did was check her heart (she has stints). I think (cause yannow, I have an MD) that the first time she fell, she did something to the cadaver discs in her neck, and now it's pressing on a nerve.
Oye. The Dr. told me to bring her 7 pairs of socks and undies. I guess she's in for the longhaul

I figured they woud have covered that already, but just wanted to make sure.
I hope they figure out soon what's causing her to fall!
