I'd like to give them a dose of Advantage, as big kitty is scratching quite a bit (unusual behavior for her). She has been taking little forays outside in our yard. We've always let her do this with supervision & I think she may have picked up some fleas.
I know that the reason you're supposed to put it at the base of their skull is so that they can't lick it, but my kitties lick each other and roll around together a lot.
Am I going to have to babysit them all day? Should I keep them separated?

because she sleeps at night, and I figure that if she is able to lick, she is less likely to do it then than at any other time.
What if you treat them at night and then separate them for the night? By the morning the chances of them licking off any of it would be a lot lower.

I would separate them, yes.

Tried to respond to this earlier and it wouldn't go through, but that's a great idea. I didn't want to shut one upstairs during the day because they would be shut out from the litter box, but I think they'll probably be ok at night. Thanks!
